Exploring Austin

If you decide to visit Austin for a little longer here are a few fun things to do

 
 

Outdoor Activities

  1. Barton Spring Pool

  2. Laguna Gloria and Mayfield Park and Nature Preserve (they have wild peacocks that live here)

  3. Zilker Park and the Botanical Garden

  4. Lady Bird Lake and Kayaking at Lady Bird Lake

  5. Mount Bonnell- near our home, you can see the view of the whole city from it, and it is a very easy walk up.

  6. South Congress Street

  7. Austin Bat Bridge (by kayak, boat, or walking on the bridge)



Indoor Activities

  1. Austin public library Main branch downtown. Gorgeous modern architecture

  2. The State Capital (during the week only)

  3. Escape room (pre-reservation usually needed)

  4. Inner space caverns

  5. Blanton Museum of Art

  6. LBJ Library

  7. Bullock State History Museum (if you want to learn about Texas, and we know you do)

  8. The Thinkery (for little ones)
